BATI BASSAC
LIVES ON AS BATI CANTINE
After twenty-five years in Saint-Roch, the Bati Bassac dining room has closed. The family, the recipes, and the wok remain — at Bati Cantine, in the same neighbourhood, for takeout and on-site.

Sao Khuon and Pantha Pen opened Bati in 2000 on Saint-Joseph Street. For more than two decades, the Bassac dining room was a neighbourhood table: wine, service, evenings, and home-style Cambodian cooking.
The second generation now runs Bati Cantine: wok made to order, street bites, Nom Pangh, signature soups. The same family cooking, a faster format, more accessible prices. Chicken and beef are 100% halal.
We'll see you at the counter, 125 rue Saint-Joseph E., Québec. A second canteen is being prepared in Charlesbourg for fall-winter 2026.
